Responsibilities
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as primary liaison between HR and selected divisions or sites within the Queen’s Health System.
Builds and maintains an excellent grasp of the assigned division’s operations, its needs and requirements, and its challenges.
Communicates regularly with Division leaders and may participate in Division leadership meetings.
Expedites HR response to divisional requests, and ensures consistency of responses across all Divisions-necessitating close and collegial working relationships with all HR Partners and leaders in HR.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Required: sitting, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, lifting, pushing and carrying items up to usual weight of 5 pounds.
Continuous: reaching above, at and below shoulders; repetitive arm/hand motion and frequent gripping of objects.
Frequent: standing, walking, stooping/bending, and twisting body.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business or related field; four (4) years progressive experience in HR may be substituted for educational requirement.
Master’s degree highly desirable.
B. EXPERIENCE:
In addition to educational requirement, five (5) years progressive experience in Human Resources or collective bargaining with three (3) years in either in a supervisory/managerial capacity or Employee and Labor relations experience, with emphasis preferably in healthcare.
Healthcare industry experience highly desirable.
Experience to demonstrate knowledge of employment laws (EEO, ADA, AA, FMLA, etc.) and other regulatory and statutory requirements.
Demonstrated knowledge in HRIS, preferably PeopleSoft.
Experience to demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills as needed in consulting process and project management.
