Job Responsibilities
Crew Relations – Support business partners with performance management and disciplinary action as needed.
Conduct and Document Investigations – Independently manage assigned casework and investigate and resolve complex Crew issues through the Company’s Fact-Finding Process. Assess situations to determine risk, consult on mitigation, and escalate to appropriate parties. Maintain and track all matters in a centralized database, follow documentation and reporting standards, and maintain confidentiality. Expeditiously bring investigations to closure within internal Service Level Agreement (SLA) guidelines. Accurately and thoroughly document and detail all investigations in a timely manner. Thoroughly analyze data from various internal systems and properly produce completed investigation documentation.
High Risk Focused – Experience and ability to independently assess, investigate, and resolve Crew issues identified as high-risk (EEO-based claims related to discrimination, harassment/Restaurant Leader issues/Wage & Hour/ Retaliation).
Policy Support – Analyze aggregate casework data to identify systemic issue trends, make recommendations for Crew training, communication, and policies for the Company. Review data and work with the larger Crew Relations and Crew Standards teams in the analysis and revision of Crew programs, policies, and practices to drive a positive work environment for all Crewmembers.
Consultative Partner – Consult and collaborate with Crew Relations, RSO teams, Legal teams, and others on complex Crew investigations and project work.
Crisis Focused – Ability to work on critical Crew issues that are crisis-oriented and typically need to be completed with limited time.
Compliance – Responsible for the investigation of Crew employment matters relating to governance, compliance, and operational risk in close partnership with Crew Standards, Legal, Risk and Restaurant Excellence
Qualifications:
Strong working knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and guidelines
Minimum of 3 years of Employee Relations experience, combined with 3+ years with direct experience in providing HR/Employment/Investigations related compliance support to a large-scale, growth-oriented, multi-unit, restaurant, consumer service and/or retail organization with a field organization of relevant scope/scale.
Education (or equivalent experience)
Bachelor’s degree preferred
SHRM Certification, PHR or SPHR, preferred
Requirements
Ability to manage projects, timelines and deliver, effective prioritization
Excellent problem-solving skills: recognize, analyze, and resolve effectively
Ability and desire to lead/coach/mentor less experienced Investigators
Ability to produce high quality investigation reports with minimal oversight and guidance
Advanced in Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to make progress on multiple assignments under time constraints
Ability to work in a remote work environment with little or no supervision to deliver expected results.
