Job Summary
The Director, Human Resources is responsible for the overall administration and management of all Human Resources functions. The ideal candidate will be able to strike the right balance between being a strategic partner and having a roll-up your sleeves attitude to support our leaders, teams, and employees.
Specific Responsibilities
· Develop and establish human resources operations in line with organizational strategy
· Establish and maintain a competitive total rewards program that builds and retains the team members at all levels of the organization
· Update and maintain internal compensation documents and charts
· Manage annual and other reporting compensation information to the survey vendors
· Conduct compensation analysis, review, and adjustments
· Manage employee benefits programs/vendors and develop an employee benefits program that supports the company’s strategic growth and retention goals
· Implement talent acquisition and management strategies, processes, and policies: workforce planning, hiring/recruitment practices, performance management, training and professional development programs, and succession planning
· Oversee third party vendors and independent recruiters to extend internal capabilities
· Coordinate and manage annual and mid-year performance review process.
· Coach managers and employees to help them reach their goals and advance their careers
· Identify and oversee the development and implementation of appropriate human resource management information systems for tracking, compliance, and reporting purposes
· Maintain employee records and oversee HR compliance, including HR policy development
· Proactively ensure that HR policies and practices are consistently applied and meet relevant labor laws and other regulatory requirements.
· Provide managers and employees with interpretation of and guidance on HR policies
· Ensure consistency of written policies and employee informational materials with each other, as well as with state and federal regulations
· Develop and manage processes across functional lines and hiring managers for efficient on- and off-boarding.
· Address employee relations issues including conflict resolution and workplace investigations, ensuring adherence to appropriate employment laws and company policies
· Provides guidance and documentation related to disciplinary actions and terminations
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in business, human resources, or a related field
· 8+ years relevant experience in Human Resources
· HR experience in the life sciences/pharmaceutical/biotechnology diagnostic industry is highly preferred
· Prefer prior experience working with multi-state employer
· Thorough knowledge of current policies and practices of growth company environments
· Ability to analyze and interpret complex data
· Excellent communicator with ability to communicate vertically with executives, management, and employees
