About the Human Resources Business Partner role:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Human Resources Business Partner is a key member of the plant leadership team, supporting the HR function for a manufacturing site. In this role you will contribute to the development and sustainability of the site culture, processes and performance while working collaboratively with site leadership to ensure the attraction, development and retention of key talent.
· Facilitates the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, retention and succession planning.
· Acts as a business partner setting culture within the manufacturing facility. Contribute to the development and execution of the site goals and objectives in order to drive improved year over year performance.
· Develops and leads associate communication both written and verbal at the facility, ensuring associates are informed and aligned to meet and exceed site goals and objectives.
· Partners with leadership on coaching employee performance and in developing performance suggestions to aid them through coaching, mentoring, and administering performance reviews. Recommends, plans, and/or implements employee training and skill development activities.
· Provides tactical support for all human resources activities for the manufacturing site
· Conducts corrective actions, investigations, discipline, terminations, etc., as needed.
· Engages site leadership and supervisors to ensure a positive working relationship with all associates at the facility.
· Ensures that Human Resources practices are consistently applied for the site and are compliant with internal Regal policy as well as external government requirements.
· Assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of site policies and procedures to ensure fair, consistent and equitable treatment of all associates in compliance with Federal, state and local laws.
· Responds to associate HR questions and concerns.
· Supports ad hoc projects as assigned.
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree
· Minimum 3 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a manufacturing environment
· Proven ability to take on tasks and drive continuous improvement
· Ability to multitask, prioritize work and manage multiple priorities
· Ability to handle confidential situations with sensitivity and integrity
· Excellent written and verbal communications – ability to interface with all levels of the organization
· Ability to work proactively and independently
· Ability to handle complex, ambiguous situations exercising judgement and critical thinking skills
