Job Description:
Under the direction of the Manager of Clinical Operations, the registered nurse is responsible and accountable for the delivery of nursing care to adult and geriatric patients. The nurse is responsible for collaborating with other healthcare team members (e.g. MD, PA, NP, RN, ambulatory care coordinators) to develop and implement the patient’s plan of care.
Responsibilities include:
- rooming patients, preparing patients for stress test and placing IV’s when necessary
- providing pre and post education for patients
- appointment reminder calls/test prep
- performing exercise and pharmacological stress testing on inpatients and outpatients
- assisting with TEE, procedural sedation, medication administration, suctioning
- providing Optison administration and bubble studies for echo sonographers when needed
- utilizing Pyxis prn for med management
- assessing/intervening in acute patient conditions with assistance of other heart center staff and providers

Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program
Licensed in State of Minnesota as a Registered Nurse
3 years of acute care RN experience
BLS
ACLS
Preferred Qualifications:
Critical care, cardiology and/or conscious sedation experience
