Actively seeking an HR Coordinator to work remote.
Administratively supports the employees, this includes daily process-related responsibilities in support of transactions in various areas, such as employment, benefits, employee assessments, worker’s compensation, staff development, reward and recognition, recruitment, separation, maintaining the organization’s HRIS and benefit vendor applications and modules, as well as training coordination, and new employee onboarding.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Analyze, access, input and retrieve data.
2. Ensure consistency in form, policies, and practices.
3. Increase Human Resources’ visibility. Acts as an organizational advocate, providing appropriate assistance and direction at all levels of staff.
4. Improvement to overall employee experience, satisfaction, and engagement.
5. Maintain appropriate level of current knowledge related to employment process, benefits, appraisal process, and other related items, to direct inquiries appropriately.
6. Report pertinent information and assist with tasks to support department operations.
7. Serve as the backup to the HR Generalist
8. Perform other HR projects as assigned.
9. Maintain updated job descriptions.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Crosstrain with HR Generalist
2. Document procedures for all HR and Benefit-related tasks.
3. Assist in administering reminders for past-due LMS courses, quarterly assessments, and other deadline-oriented tasks.
4. Assist Managers and HR team with revisions and updates to job descriptions, forms, benefit materials, and policies, as needed.
5. Assist in follow-up with new hires for outstanding documents, such as I9, benefit enrollment, and signed attestations.
6. Assist with Welfare Plan Compliance and distribution of SBCs and SPDs to enrollees.
7. Assist with completing updates to HRIS, SharePoint Employee Portal, and Teams.
8. Assist with sourcing of candidates for open job requisitions, completion of professional reference checking and updates to ATS.
9. Provide basic troubleshooting for HRIS users.
10. Develop, prepare, generate, and analyze ongoing and ad-hoc special reports pertaining to employee personnel information and data, including issues such as benefits costs, staffing levels/deployment, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, applicant tracking, EEO, compensation, promotions, etc.
11. Complete Verifications of Employment.
12. Communicate touch points at 30 & 90 days of employment.
13. Assist with communicating rejection letters to candidates.
14. Assist with collecting compensation benchmarking to ensure market competitiveness.
15. Assist in auditing employee virtual files for accuracy.
16. Assist in collecting content for employee newsletter.
17. Assist in distribution of new employee welcome kits/swag.
18. Assist in collecting requested documents for SOC-II compliance.
19. Assist with campaign for Top Workplace Awards.
20. Assist in obtaining testimonials for website and building social media presence.
21. Assist with driving the HealthAxis culture through values and customer service standards.
22. Develops and maintains positive relationships through effective and timely communication.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
1. A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Specific course work related to Human Resource and payroll a strong plus.
2. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
3. Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
4. Thorough understanding of supporting a remote or virtual workforce.
5. Demonstrated working knowledge of HRIS systems required.
6. Two+ years of professional human resource experience.
7. Demonstrated experience commensurate with coordination of smooth and effective daily operations.
8. Ability to adapt to quickly changing situations.
9. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Demonstrated ability to create a mail merge and make updates to PowerPoint presentations.
10. Ability to keep information confidential.
11. SHRM-CP or PHR certification a plus.
12. Experience with Paycom, Teams, DocuSign, and SharePoint a plus.
13. Demonstrated ability to remain abreast on human resources trends and best practices.
