Job Description:
Summary: The Project Manager is a critical role responsible for the comprehensive management and coordination of a contractual project in the Republic of Korea. This role demands a highly experienced and knowledgeable individual with a deep understanding of military human resources systems. The Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact with the Government Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and ensure the project’s timely performance, quality, and compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Overall Project Management:
a. Lead and oversee all aspects of the project, ensuring that it is executed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.
b. Develop and maintain a detailed project plan, including milestones, tasks, and resources.
2. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
a. Ensure strict adherence to the terms and conditions of the contract.
b. Implement and maintain quality control processes to deliver high-quality results.
c. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and resolve potential issues.
3. Government Interface:
a. Act as the primary point of contact with the Government Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
b. Foster a positive and productive working relationship with the COR to address concerns and facilitate effective communication.
4. Accessibility and Availability:
a. Ensure 24/7 telephonic accessibility to the Project Manager or designated alternates for the Government.
b. Respond promptly to inquiries and emergency situations as required.
5. Team Leadership and Coordination:
a. Manage a team of professionals and ensure their alignment with project goals.
b. Foster a collaborative and cohesive work environment.
6. Military Human Resources Expertise:
a. Apply in-depth knowledge of military human resources systems to guide project activities. b. Stay updated on relevant industry trends and regulations.
Qualifications:1. Experience:• A minimum of seven (7) years of experience within the last ten (10) years in military human resources, demonstrating progressive responsibility and expertise.2. Education:• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.3. Communication Skills:• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.• Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to various stakeholders.4. Problem-Solving Skills:• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address project challenges.5. Leadership and Teamwork:• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.• Collaborative and team-oriented work style.6. Contract Management:• Demonstrated experience in contract management and compliance.Note:All non-Key position personnel who are local Korean nationals must have a TOEIC score of a minimum Level 5 for the speaking test and at a minimum of 600 points for an overall score. Validated through the submission of a verifiable TOEIC certificate within last two years.
