This role builds and maintains positive relationships with employees at all levels and works directly with management to drive HR initiatives in support of business objectives. This position will support a broad range of human resource activities including employee engagement, communications and recruitment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
HR Support for Nuvida
Employee Relations and Engagement
Provides counsel and advice to employees and managers on human resource issues
Works to organize activities which create positive employee engagement; facilitates engagement survey and action plan execution
Recruiting
Provides full scope recruiting support for hourly positions
Facilitates local onboarding process for all new associates
Manages temp agency interactions including contract negotiations and agency audits
Payroll and Benefits administration
Oversees the time and attendance reporting for all associates at the facility
Provides documentation for pay changes, position changes, etc.
Facilitates benefits orientation to new associates and related benefits administration activities
Internal Communications
Draft internal communications to support the overall employee value proposition communication campaign
Assist in developing other communication vehicles (videos, recruiting and orientation materials, etc.)
RDC Employee Relations and Recruiting Support
Partner with all levels of management and employees to resolve employee relations issues and concerns.
Partner with Talent Acquisition team to support recruitment for entry-level and professional positions, including sourcing, interviewing and selection process.
Assist or coordinate employee activities designed to build a positive work environment.
Coordinate and facilitate training, including onboarding and U-Lead initiatives.
Support department and company-wide special projects and initiatives.
Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Plant Manager or by Corporate HR
Work in accordance with all company policies and procedures regarding employment, safety, quality, product safety and legality, security, and regulatory compliance as applicable.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
2+ years of broad human resource experience.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.
Knowledge of federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
A strong understanding and appreciation of a diverse work environment.
Ability to build relationships across the company.
