KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Sr. Vice President of Marketing, we are looking for a results-driven government marketer with 4-6 years’ marketing experience with at least 2 years focused on creating and executing strategic marketing plans in support of U.S. Public Sector pipeline and revenue objectives. This key role requires an individual with strong communication, collaboration, and influence skills. The ideal candidate will have experience across channel marketing, field marketing, account-based marketing techniques, and be conversant in modern demand generation techniques. We are looking for someone who is passionate about public sector marketing, has a strong understanding of the government customer buying cycle, and views marketing as a way to facilitate conversations with government customers to solve issues that are important to them. In the Government Marketing Manager role, you will be responsible for the development and execution of marketing campaigns for our industry leading technology clients.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field
Demonstrable experience in public sector marketing
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proven track record in creating and managing multi-faceted, integrated government marketing campaigns from beginning to end
Experience working with the public sector ecosystem – original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s), value-add resellers (VAR’s), value-add distributors, and system integrators (SI’s)
Understanding of government customer buying cycles and preferred engagement points and vehicles
Solid grasp of sales pipeline management and operations
Strong attention to detail, highly organized and able to juggle multiple priorities and clients at once
Excellent oral, written and visual communicator
Highly driven self-starter that thrives in a dynamic, fast paced environment
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Account Support (Government Marketing)
Assist multiple client teams in planning and execution of public Sector Marketing programs
Provide guidance to clients on public sector strategy across digital marketing, demand generation, brand awareness, PR, and communications
Create and manage campaign budgets and other administrative duties as needed to successfully support assigned client accounts
Meticulously track results of marketing activities, ensuring appropriate return on investment
Provide regular cadence of communications and reporting on marketing campaign results
Takes initiative with first steps in new projects, e.g., summarizing meeting notes or conducting research on potential new marketing tactics
Works collaboratively in a team environment
Takes initiative to help co-workers on projects before being asked
Closes the loop on assignments and notifies team members when action items are complete.
Successfully multitasks within collaborative team structure and open work environment.
Manages internal team meetings, new hires, mentorship, etc.
