POSITION: Senior Manager, Development Operations

CLASSIFICATION: Full-time, Exempt – $71,200 to $81,300

POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Manager, Development Operations, is a position that oversees the operations of the Development Department to ensure that all fundraising support systems and processes are optimized and all areas of fundraising (Individual Giving, Institutional Giving, Planned Giving, and Special Events) have the resources and support they need. Supervises Development Operations Manager and Development Coordinator.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead development operations team, ensuring fundraising platforms, income and expense processing, and CRM database are optimized and functioning properly, as well as timely processing of income, expenses, gift receipt communications, and other centralized donor stewardship operations. Manage staff responsible for development operations tasks execution
Serve as the department liaison for Development content for program books and other materials related to donor recognition. Provide donor and sponsor listings and credits for print and electronic materials. Maintain ballet sponsorship information in patron accounts and provide reports as requested. Maintain Development recognition content on website.
Evaluate development processes and recommend improvements as needed to streamline efficiency and ensure accuracy; develop, document, and roll out standard operating procedures. Serve as development project manager and strategist for complex technology platform projects, expense processing and reconciliation, and oversees the delegation of other development operations projects.
Manage wealth screening platform and integration with Tessitura to ensure accurate and timely information for donor records.
Work with Deputy Director of Development/Planned Giving on the annual Endowed Fund unitized reports sent to fund donors. Coordinate with Finance to make sure gifts are allocated to correct funds.
Ensure that: BRAVO memberships are accurately recorded, Great Benefactor status is tracked, updated, voted upon via Board Relations Manager, and recognized via Facilities and Marketing appropriately; and in partnership with SFBS, notify and track scholarship communications
Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Education, Knowledge, and Experience
5-7years of related experience. Knowledge of fundraising best practices and database management.
Technical/Professional Competencies
Proficiency in Tessitura or similar CRM.
Demonstrates high level of attention to detail.
Maintains electronic files and documentation that are readily accessible and understandable by others.
Demonstrates technical efficiency in using word processing, spreadsheets, and fundraising platforms.
Prioritizes work to effectively balance multiple assignments and demonstrate commitment to excellent internal and external customer service.
Effectively utilizes office equipment to perform duties in an efficient manner.
Demonstrates sound project management skills, including the ability to organize and manage multiple projects to meet required deadlines.

Establishes and maintains effective relationships with colleagues by building rapport, listening to their needs and being easy to approach.
Technical capabilities CRM systems, fundraising web tools and email programs, advance data analysis via excel and other resources, PowerPoint and presentation skills, ability to learn new systems.
Staff training, development, coaching and performance management.
Physical Demands
Standard work hours with considerable amounts of typing and word-processing, and telephone work. Occasional lifting (40 lbs.).
Special Equipment Used
PC and standard office equipment, such as fax and copier.
