Reporting in the Senior Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing routine HR duties and projects on a professional level and supporting the overall mission of the organization. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: onboarding, off-boarding, benefits administration, payroll, talent development, project management, and employment law compliance. This is a small team in start-up mode and responsibilities will evolve as the business evolves.
For this position, hybrid is defined as onsite for 2 – 3 days of the week.
Responsibilities:
Manage an employee first approach to HR operations, including, but not limited to, on-boarding/exiting, meticulously maintaining employee files, and providing fast customer service in answering questions related to benefits, payroll, company policies and processes, etc.
Manage payroll from start to finish, such as data entry, register review, and resolving discrepancies.
Manage leave of absence inquiries and requests including required notices, data entry, and payroll processing.
Manage the visa acquisition process for all foreign national hires and transfers, acting as the primary liaison between the employee and our immigration attorneys
Reconcile/validate data entry to ensure integrity and support routine reporting requests.
Manage Bi-annual performance review process from start to finish including but not limited to writing communications, auditing data, setting up platform, and closing the review.
Manage COVID Compliance per applicable law
Build and maintain positive relationships with Key Stakeholders such as Payroll, Finance, and IT
Establish and maintain relationships with discipline leads and employees – must be a trusted, knowledgeable, go-to resource
Extremely organized and detail-oriented; able to multi-task and prioritize a large volume of responsibilities and tasks
Ensure compliance & knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws
Able to take ownership and work autonomously, but use proper judgement when issues need to be escalated
Have a positive attitude and approachable demeanor, acting as a safe place for employees to ask questions or confide opinions and feelings
Perform other duties as required and assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related.
4-5 years of HR experience in a fast-paced environment, HR Generalist experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent time management skills to work as efficiently as possible.
Demonstrate attention to detail, such as proof reading your work, actively listening, taking notes to capture key information, and reading emails;
Demonstrate professionalism including, but not limited to, working independently, taking responsibility and being self-accountable for deadlines, discipline, organizational and project management skills, and mature judgment to stay productive and dependable
Advanced knowledge in Office 365 tools and HRIS management.
Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Multi task and manage multiple modes of communications at one time (e.g., email, Teams message, text messages, phone calls, etc.)
