ABOUT SHATTERPROOF
Shatterproof was founded in 2013 to fill the gap for a well-funded, national, coordinated effort to reverse the course of the addiction health crisis, with the singular goal of ending the devastation addiction is causing our families. We know there are science-based solutions that can prevent and treat this disease, and we are committed to what research has proven to be effective. We have identified three priority pillars: transforming addiction treatment, ending addiction stigma, and educating and empowering communities.
Transforming Addiction Treatment: Shatterproof is transforming the U.S. healthcare system for the more than 40 million Americans living with a substance use disorder (SUD). Like anyone suffering from a disease, those with this disease deserve access to treatment that is based on science, complemented by a supportive recovery community, both free of shame and stigma. Removing barriers to lifesaving treatment is a core mission focus of Shatterproof.
Ending Addiction Stigma: Shatterproof’s National Stigma Initiative replicates the success of other transformational social movements—such as HIV/AIDS activism, cancer awareness, and marriage equality—in catalyzing the change needed to create a more tolerant, more compassionate, and healthier future. We are committed to creating solutions that are adept at changing attitudes and behaviors and ultimately closing SUD treatment gaps and health inequities for historically disadvantaged populations who experience compounded discrimination and bias.

THE ROLE
Reporting to the Systems & People Operations Specialist, the HR Coordinator will support administration of overall HR functions for the organization, including recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and benefits. The Coordinator must be detail oriented and able to juggle multiple priorities at once. A go-getter that takes initiative, this person will play an important role in building out the HR team and people operations for Shatterproof.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare recruitment materials for hiring kickoffs with hiring managers
Enter information into applicant tracking system (JazzHR) for role launch and aid in sorting candidates for interviews
Put together first draft of offer letters and draft emails on behalf of the Systems & People Operations Specialist
Support the Specialist in preparing for new hire onboarding, including scheduling intro meetings, preparing paperwork, submitting IT requests, and collating reading materials
Aid in keeping up to date on federal and state legal posting requirements and other compliance admin
Help maintain employee relations by streamlining answers and support to Shatterproof team members related to benefits, compliance, hiring, etc.
Maintain and organize HR files within Box
Help coordinate rollout of organization-wide HR policy and operations updates
Any other tasks assigned by Systems & People Operations Specialist
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School degree or GED required
At least two years experience supporting HR functions required
Strong customer service and communication skills
Professionalism and discretion with handling confidential information
Comfortable working with different technological platforms; experience working with an applicant tracking system preferred
Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks
Ability and authorization to work in the US required
Ability to work Eastern Time Zone hours required
