Human Resources Assistant
Schedule – 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, OT as required
$20.00 per Hour
– Records associate information such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, and termination date and reason.Updates employee files to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses.
– Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation to include exit interviewing.
– Daily update of signage in mfg. plant, tracking important dates to associates (birthdays, anniversaries etc…) on Associate bulletin boards.
– Examines employee files to answer inquiries and provides information to authorized persons.
– Compiles and maintains records for use in employee benefits administration.
– Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
– Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations.
– Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
– Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
– Supports and enforces company’s Food Safety, Food Quality, Occupational Safety and all other policy and procedures to ensure proper processes are followed.
What you bring to the Table
– 3-5 years Administrative Office experience and/or 1-2 years of progressive Human Resources experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
– Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration.
– Strong interpersonal skills both oral and written.
– Strong understanding of state and federal requirement and regulations.
– Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (word, excel & powerpoint)
