HR Generalist

Job Description & Responsibilities
· Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
· Oversee the recruiting efforts of top caliber talent for Sigora
· Create onboarding plans, hold orientation, and educate new hires on company policies and processes
· Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with leaders to develop solutions, programs and policies
· Manages and resolves employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations, which result in a legally compliant resolution.
· Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to managers (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, succession planning, disciplinary actions).
· Focuses on employee engagement through creative and fun experiences that ensure employee interest and participation
· Oversee benefits administration and work closely with Sigora’s provider of benefits to ensure employees are provided with reference materials and resources to make informed decisions about their benefits.
· Supports annual HR cycle deliverables to include performance management; merit and bonus awards; benefits enrollment; 90 day and annual reviews; etc.
· Suggest and develop new HR processes to help support Sigora’s primary business objectives
· Subject matter expert on HRIS platform to field questions, deploy training and ensure all end users are comfortable with the system
· Suggest new HR strategies and ways to continually improve the HR offerings to our team
· Must be able to interface at all levels of the organization to discuss and implement HR strategies
· Position is based in Charlottesville, VA
