The Human Resources Generalist is an integral part of the Silver Spring Foods Team. You’re a motivated, can-do individual with a passion for recruiting and retaining talented individuals for the Silver Spring Foods team. You have a keen eye for detail and take pride in administering multiple HR programs. You are a key member of the team in providing support in the areas of staffing, on-boarding, learning and development, performance management, compensation and benefits. You are a forward thinker and are passionate about providing a great place to work for our employees. You understand the importance of a great culture. You’ve got at least 12-18 months experience as a Human Resources Generalist, Recruiter or Representative. You also have great employee relations experience. You thrive in a fast-moving environment where your good judgement keeps the work flowing. And, you get real satisfaction from helping your team members achieve their goals and from working side-by-side with your team to make great things happen.

The HR Generalist will:

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications or closely related field, along with one year of HR generalist/recruiting/representative experience.
Preferred: 3-5 years of experience in an HR Generalist role and SHRM-CP or PHR Certification.

Ability to work with diverse groups
Solid understanding of Human Resources policies and practices and laws.
Flexibility to support 24/7 manufacturing facility.
Needs to have strong attention to detail.
Must be able to maintain high degree of confidentiality
Must have ability to understand and interface with production operations.
Must read and write English at high school level.
Must have strong computer skills, including HR technology/tools

Sitting, standing, walking
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Must hear well enough to converse on telephone, must see well enough to read reports.
Must be able to do routine arithmetic calculations
Must be able to communicate in English well enough to interface with others both verbally and in writing
Working Conditions
Majority of work will be done in a climate controlled, office environment. Occasionally work will involve exposure to company equipment and in various locations. Some travel may be required (by automobile and airline), which will involve routine traffic hazards.
