The Human Resources Manager with a specialty in Recruitment will ensure the efficient administration and management of the Human Resources recruitment function in addition to assisting with training, wage/benefit administration, compliance with statutory requirements and the execution of associates relations activities, in order to provide each department with the personnel, guidance, and support necessary to achieve employee & resident satisfaction and business objectives.
Responsibilities:
This position reports to the Director of Human Resources and is a member of a four person team. Success is defined in this role by displaying the following experience:
Ability to engage effectively with all applicants and associates, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy and collect accurate information to resolve conflicts.
Thorough knowledge of Human Resources practices and procedures as well as considerable knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to Human Resources matters.
Ability to perform moderately complex calculations for salary/wage job offers and benefit administration and to forecast department expenses using a calculator and/or moderately complex computer system.
Ability to observe associates in the workplace, analyze operations and detect situations of concern with regard to areas such as associate performance, grooming, training, policy adherence and morale.
Primary office location at The Huntington at Nashua and secondary location at Hunt Community representing Silverstone Living and all of its subsidiaries.
Assists in the development, implementation and administration of recruitment tasks, training and development, some benefit administration and associate relations activities, relating to all personnel with company size of 300 staff members on average.
IT New User Request administration, requisition administration ensuring prompt payment to vendors working collaboratively with Accounting.
Expert user in iCIMS ATS system, update all applicant statuses effectively. Train hiring Managers on applicant hiring and approval process.
Direct and instruct the management and supervisory staff in effective recruiting and interviewing techniques using methods such as verbal presentations and written directions to ensure the hiring and retention of qualified and efficient associates. Conduct interviews and make hiring recommendations, compensation management and offer letter generation.
Lead weekly Recruitment Meetings with an effective communication style to update, strategize applicant statuses and share initiatives to fill vacancies.
Ensure that associates are developed and utilized to their maximum potential by participating in and overseeing the implementation, administration, and monitoring of training programs.
Assist with monitoring the associate performance appraisal programs including reading and analyzing evaluations and goals to ensure appraisal comments are appropriate and goals are measurable and achievable. Assist with planning and administering associate relations programs and activities such as associate recognition and awards ceremonies, social functions and meetings to maintain a positive associate relations climate.
Oversee pre-selection activities, including drug testing, physical, driving, background testing, TB testing, reference checks to ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures. Ensure all new hires and existing associates possess proper employment eligibility verifications.
Identify and participate in Community Outreach events including School partnerships, Job Fairs.
Collect and track data to identify trends in the labor market, trends in our hiring practices and make recommendations for strategic change as necessary.
Assist in coordinating and conducting New Hire Orientation monthly.
Recommend, implement and monitor recruitment incentive programs such as referral bonus, sign-on bonus.
Participating member of The Huntington at Nashua’s Scholarship Committee. Organize and prepare annual Scholarship Applications, assist with planning annual event, certificates, letters etc.
Assist with overseeing termination process, exit interviews, IT Termination Requests.
Assist in conducting annual In Service’s.
Cross-train and provide assistance to the administration of the payroll process as needed.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday.
Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.
Able to set priorities, plan, organize, and delegate.
Written communication skills to be concise, well organized, complete, and clear.
Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.
Command of the English language both written and verbal.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Five + years of Human Resources experience specializing in recruitment preferably in Retirement Community or similar industry.
High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
iCIMS ATS experience is a plus.
UKG Ready experience is a plus
Retirement Community, Hotel, Hospital environments preferred.
Ability to lift up to 25lbs, repetitive reaching, sitting and typing, ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for a full shift.
