Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers Hiring for Benefits Specialist at Milwaukee, WI Full Time

Join our team who is committed to the delivery of the highest quality health care service. We are seeking a full-time Benefits Specialist that is self-motivated, energetic, and a take charge individual.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide orientation and information to new employees: review of personnel manual, policies and procedures.

• Developing employee benefit procedures.

• Overseeing the maintenance of employee benefit records through on-line data terminal/work station computer input.

• Preparing deduction/contribution reports for each payroll.

• Manage annual benefit open enrollment: coordinate/delegate duties with HR team as needed.

• Contact person for benefit related questions/concerns.

• Coordinate the timely processing of benefits forms related to health, dental, and life insurance, flexible spending, etc.

• Review all benefit related invoices, prepare for payment.

• Oversee COBRA, including timely information to staff, answering related questions, providing forms and processing of claims.

• Oversee FMLA: distribution of requests, timely responses, tracking of hours, return to work, etc.

• Oversee Short-term disability requests: notify manager of PTO requirements.

• Respond to unemployment queries, prepare paperwork as needed for answers and hearings.

• Manage 401(k) benefit: enrollments and changes.

• Prepare annual reporting for ACA.

• Prepare 401(k) census for annual audit.

• Manage/update all status changes.

• Maintain/update spreadsheets: census, evaluations and benefits.

• Maintain/update termination and quarterly termination spreadsheet.

Qualifications include:

• Associate degree in related field or equivalent experience.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to research and organize data and information.

• Experience with computer software; specifically MS Office.

• Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented with ability to meet deadlines.

• Ability to work confidentially with discretion.

• Ability to work in fast-paced environment, be flexible and manage multiple tasks.
