Smokey Point Distributing Hiring for Director of Human Resources Job at Arlington, WA Full Time

Core Duties:

• Direct the development and execution of HR initiatives to support and promote employee-oriented culture and company vision.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing and adhering to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
• Develop HR best practices through researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships across departments; employee relations; workforce planning and change management.
• Oversee day-to-day guidance in areas such as coaching, counseling, and performance development.
• Compose job descriptions and salary ranges for all SPD employees.
• Direct Benefit & Leave Administration, including FMLA & KOS Program.
• Oversee the management and auditing of personnel and benefit files for all employees.
• Execute HR projects to ensure deadlines are met for compliance, including ACA census and reporting.
• Lead investigations on reported allegations of violations of company policies including EEOC; unlawful harassment/discrimination.
• Work in partnership with Safety on C-TPAT, participate as a member on the Accident Review Board.
• Actively participate in the Daseke Human Resources Group.
• Other duties as assigned by the President & CEO.

Expectations

• Implement human resources department accountabilities, including employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, records management, and employee relations.
• Direct human resources operations of full-cycle recruiting, orienting, coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions; conflict resolution and implementing change.
• Oversee HRIS functions for new hires, transfers, promotions and departing employees. Maintain and update company organizational chart.
• Oversee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, disability, FMLA, Life, 401k, KOS, and other optional benefits.
• Perform effective interviewing techniques and document findings to prepare detailed verbal and written recommendation to achieve required actions.
• Manage organization of current and closed personnel and medical files, I-9 forms, and other human resources records.
• Communicate all employment status and compensation changes to Payroll Department.
• Evaluate and determine candidates eligible for KOS Program.
• Review, edit and approve monthly newsletter.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $41.00 – $60.00 per hour
