The ideal Jr. Accountant will have strong organizational skills and have an ability to accurately track and record cash flow. The Jr. Accountant should have experience in maintaining a database of financial information and be able to recognize and solve any problems that may arise. Lastly, where appropriate this candidate will track 1099s and create a report with related information at year end. ResponsibilitiesReview and record invoices from vendors to ensure accuracy in billingMaintain the General LedgerMatch, batch and code a high volume of invoicesProcess expense reports from employees Identify discrepancies and escalate in appropriate mannerHave knowledge of approved vendors and policies to avoid paying unauthorized invoices and expensesParticipate in the month-end closeMaintain 1099s and generate report at year endSupport other areas of accounting as neededQualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field1-2+ years in accounts payable, accounting or related fieldExperience using Bill.com requiredStrong organizational, analytical and recording skills
