What you will do:
We are currently looking to hire an individual who is excited to serve the public.
This position provides clerical/secretarial support to the Division of Child Support which includes tasks such as greeting the public both in person and on the telephone, composing and finalizing correspondence, establishing and maintaining filing systems, creating and maintaining databases, gathering and providing information, and recording fiscal activities to support office operations.

Knowledge of:
Business English including grammar, spelling, and punctuation;
modern office equipment, practices, and procedures;
Microsoft Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)
basic accounting principles.
Ability to:
successfully plan and organize work activities, adjust to multiple demands, and prioritize tasks to complete assignments and meet schedules and deadlines;
demonstrate compassion, respect, courtesy, and tact when interacting with others;
establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with other employees and the public;
understand concepts related to client confidentiality;
prepare clear and concise documentation, reports, and correspondence that reflect relevant facts
set up and type copy in a variety of formats such as narratives, manuscripts, business correspondence, statistical tables, etc.;
proofread and edit rough copy for grammar, spelling, syntax, and style;
calculate solutions to arithmetic problems involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages;
communicate in a concise and effective manner;
exercise tact, patience, and discretion in communicating and dealing with persons of varying backgrounds and temperaments.
