The Talent Development Manager (TDM) is a member of the Management Team and reports directly to the Vice President of Operations (VPO). The TDM provides effective leadership to the company’s operations. The TDM is expected to be a self-motivated, focused, creative, flexible individual with a positive approach. This individual must be able to lead by example and inspire his/her team to excel and go the extra mile to make things happen in order to deliver on commitments. The TDM will be expected to achieve specific, mutually agreed upon group and individual goals while operating in a team environment.
As a member of the Management Team, the TDM is expected to contribute to the overall success and growth of the company. This includes participation in strategic and tactical planning, goal setting, policy development and implementation, and other management level activities. The TDM is expected to be a team player and actively strive to build effective working relationships based on mutual respect and trust with fellow managers and other employees. This position carries a high level of autonomy and accountability.
Responsibilities
The Talent Development Manager is expected to:
Develop a system to bring on new talent
Serve as a liaison between the production teams and management
Determine ways to foster a productive work environment
Establish a system that gives responsibility to the Operators as team leaders
Ensure all safety procedures and practices are followed
