It is Full Time, hours are normal business hours, approx. 8:330 -5pm. If additional hours are needed, they can work those hours with overtime pay.
Pay: $25-28 hourly.
Should have some HR experience, preferable experience handling employee relations issues.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred and/or minimum of two to three years of recent experience in Human Resources in a professional setting.
Possess a basic knowledge of Human Resources practices and terminology.
Knowledge of federal and state employment regulations and compliance criteria. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with complete discretion. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Outstanding customer services skills.
JOB TITLE: Human Resources Specialist
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for providing overall support to Human Resources department, to include assisting with employee relations matters, gathering, collecting, and maintaining documents and records, investigations.
REPORTS TO: Senior Human Resources Business Partner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include but are not limited to:
Handles routine human resources inquiries related to policies and procedures.
Serves as the initial contact and liaison for intake and assessment of employee complaints.
Conducts initial interviews and gathers information for employee relations matters such as harassment allegation, work complaints, or other concerns; informs Sr HR Business Partner when additional investigation is required.
Assists with record keeping related to hiring, termination, leave, transfer, and promotion particularly as related to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO).
Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database.
Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings as needed.
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
