The Michigan State Lottery strives to maximize net revenues to supplement state education programs; to provide fun and entertaining games of chance, and to operate all games and bureau functions with nothing less than total integrity.
The Lottery was established under the authority of Public Act 239 of 1972 to generate funds to support Michigan’s public-school system and generates revenue through the sale of Lottery tickets at retail locations and over the internet. Profits from lottery revenue are used to supplement state education programs.

This position will be responsible for performing various administrative support, customer service, and merchandising functions based on operational needs.

Please note: Employees who are employed in the Student Assistant classification are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week or 129 hours per month.
Required Education and Experience
Education
Current enrollment in high school, vocational or technical school, or post-secondary educational institution.
Experience
No specific type or amount is required.
Additional Requirements and Information
Lottery employees and family members residing within the same household are prohibited from purchasing lottery tickets and from participating as a worker in charitable gaming events licensed by the bureau (i.e., bingo, raffle, etc.).
Civil Service Rule 2-7 requires that all newly hired state employees submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test prior to their actual appointment.
Positions within the Bureau of State Lottery will require a criminal history background check.
The student must provide evidence of enrollment or acceptance to an educational institution.
