This position exists to ensure sufficient cash balances are maintained for all Department of Employment and Economic Development federal accounts with the following United State Departments of Labor, Education, and Health. The position ensures grantee payments are made timely and accurately and in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations. This position also coordinates the Youth Work Experience Program timesheets, payroll and other related program activities.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
To receive credit for your education and experience, your resume should clearly describe how you meet each minimum and/or preferred qualification listed, including dates of employment.
Two (2) years of work experience working in an accounting, financial payment processing, or grant area.
Skill in:
10-key calculator, mathematical computations, accounting practices and bookkeeping sufficient to independently calculate accounting analysis.
Data entry sufficient to enter data accurately and efficiently.
Customer service to provide prompt, courteous and accurate information to customers.
Creating and using spreadsheet software applications (such as Microsoft Excel) to compile, store, retrieve, pivot, and look-up data.
Organization to handle workload while maintaining accuracy and completeness of the financial record and reporting.
Ability to:
Analyze, interpret, and prepare financial information, records, and reports.
Reconcile work, locate errors, and recommend solutions to procedural or other fiscal problems.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Minnesota’s Statewide Integrated Financial Tools (SWIFT), SWIFT’s accounts payable and grants management modules, reporting and OBIEE queries.
Knowledge of the State of Minnesota, Department of Administration, Office of Grants Management (OGM) policies and best practices, as well as DEED’s.
Knowledge of the state and federal regulations pertaining to grants management and cash draw-downs.
