Job Summary
Metropolitan State University is seeking two (2) full-time, permanent Office and Administrative Specialist to scan and organize student records, maintain electronic student records system, research, resolve, and respond to issues and inquiries related to student records, and to provide general assistance and back up in the Registrar’s Office and Students Affairs, as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

English sufficient to speak, read, understand and respond to written and spoken communication with internal and external customers.
Ability to file and retrieve information based on content.
Knowledge of document imaging systems.
Knowledge of data privacy laws and practices.
Knowledge of records retention processes and procedures.
Skilled in data entry sufficient to maintain accurate student records.
Ability to use good customer service skills to interact with others (common courtesy, tact, interest in positive problem solving, empathy and logical organization of ideas).
Ability to accurately keyboard/type and required documents (ie forms, memos, letters).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with ISRS (Integrated Statewide Records System) or a similar system.
Experience working with ImageNow/Perceptive Content Software.
Meet established timelines and deadlines.
Directing the workflow of others.
Physical Requirements
This position requires occasionally transporting such articles as file boxes and heavy hand tools or heavier materials with help from others and/or transporting light objects frequently. This position may require movement throughout the building(s) to a significant degree.
Additional Requirements
In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (MnSCU) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to MnSCU’s vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
