The positions will be located and supporting businesses in the Southwest and Southeast regions of the state.
This position coordinates, leads, and delivers demand-driven regional and statewide business services that assist in overcoming the challenges of recruiting, retaining, and upskilling talent for the regional economy. This includes developing workforce planning strategies and solutions for Minnesota businesses as they continue to grow in today’s complex and competitive environment through focused concentration on talent pipeline development. Under the economic development division, this role provides value to businesses by serving as a main point of contact for workforce strategy, while providing long term customized consultation with high level business leaders. Through consultation, workforce planning, and labor market data analysis, this position develops customized strategies in the areas of: Engaging Community Partners & Stakeholders, Recruiting & Brand Awareness, Employee Inclusion & Career Opportunities, Onboarding, Training & Upskilling, and Diversity, Equity Inclusion & Accessibility (DEIA).
The incumbent must be self-motivated with excellent communication skills to build relationships and be highly skilled at creative and innovative problem solving. Minimum Qualifications
To receive credit for your education and experience, your resume should clearly describe how you meet each minimum and/or preferred qualification listed, including dates of employment.
Two (2) years of experience in transforming business and workforce practices through collaboration and consultation with employers. Experience may include employment training, economic development, human resources, recruiting, diversity, equity and inclusion and other related areas.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, Workforce Development or other closely related field as determined by the agency may substitute one (1) year of experience; master’s degree substitutes for eighteen (18) months of experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in human resources, talent attraction, organizational development, or project management including HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP)
Experience working with high-growth industries including: manufacturing, healthcare, construction trades, agriculture, transportation, and information technology
Skill in communicating in a secondary language
Experience with creating videos and online webinars
