State of New Jersey Hiring for HR Generalist at Morristown, NJ Full Time

Duration : 3+ Months with the possibility of Extension

Job Description :

• Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations.
• Responds to employee relation issues such as employee complaints.
• Assists Human Resources Manager with payroll and acts as back-up in HR Manager’s absence.
• Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefit information to employees.
• Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
• Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
• Posts open positions and assists in the recruitment process. Process background screenings. Conduct new employee orientations.
• Track/monitor/report employee attendance (PTO time).
• Process disability, FMLA and unemployment claims.
• Maintain human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
• File all employee forms and other information into personnel files; maintain/update files as required; remove terminated employee files and move/archive as required.
• Maintain I-9 employment eligibility forms and follow up for missing information/forms of identification; update as required.
• Maintain/update all HR forms and packets

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

• Morristown, NJ 07960: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
