ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Full life cycle recruiting for open positions, from posting to onboarding, collaborating with hiring manager to ensure expectations is met. Provide regular communication throughout the hiring process with candidates and hiring manager.
Responsible for sourcing candidates, screening resumes, coordinating interview process to including scheduling interview, conducting reference checks, developing offer letters and scheduling post offer tests.
Responsible for scheduling and conducting New Hire Orientations for new employees and completing all new hire paperwork.
Ensure a positive candidate experience for internal and external applicants, by giving timely feedback and next step in the hiring process.
Review, revise or create Position Descriptions to ensure they match essential job functions, necessary skills and education. Work with the Management team to deliver and improve the recruiting strategy.
Identify recruiting sources, place advertisements on the appropriate job boards, company website, colleges and university career centers.
Identify and participate in career fairs through the Colleges and Employment Department.
Track applicants and recruiting efforts, collaborate in goal setting to ensure EEO and Affirmative Action requirements are achieved.
Partner with Management to identify, create and deliver training and development throughout the organization.
Manage the Flexpool program to include establishing staffing levels with Plant Management. Provide employees weekly assignments, track evaluations to ensure employees progress, corrective action and attendance.
Provide guidance and management of leave administration for FMLA, OFLA, Disability and Personal Leave of absences.
Back up receptionist for lunch and break coverage.
Assist with employee benefits program, including health, dental, vision, life, unemployment etc. to provide high quality coverage for States Industries, LLC employees, and work with outside contractors to assure cost control.
Promote positive employee relations to foster open communications, increasing development and productivity of all employees.
Administer personnel policies and practices that accurately reflect the company’s policies for employee development, performance evaluation, corrective action and terminations.
NECESSARY SKILLS:
Strong written, verbal and analytical skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.
Must be able to prioritize, work independently, and have a high level of initiative.
Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and HRIS.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of State and Federal laws including Wage and Hour, Civil Rights Laws, Federal and State Family Medical Leave.
Three years Human Resources experience with a minimum of twelve months recruiting.
SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, PHR or SPHR is desired.
