StraightUp Solar, a fast-growing, locally-owned solar installation company, is seeking a Full Time – Solar Operations and Maintenance Accounts Manager. This position can be based out of our St. Louis, Missouri or Bloomington, Illinois office.
The Solar Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Accounts Manager will manage 200+ existing commercial contracts, grow SUS’s Commercial O&M and serve customers with Excellence.
The Responsibility of the O&M Account Manager is to ensure the arrays produce electricity as expected through annual inspections, ongoing monitoring and service visits. Additionally, the Account Manager will provide excellent customer service and that will lead to contract renewals as well as new referrals for additional sites and clients. The likely breakdown of time between managing current systems and selling / signing new Commercial O&M Contracts will begin at approximately 85% vs 15%.
Job Duties:
Effectively manage all O&M contracted services
Coordinate, schedule, manage and mentor technicians or subcontractors performing O&M work orders on a daily basis.
Review and QC completed work orders, provide reports to Customer and provide accurate invoicing instructions to accounting within 2 days of completing the work order
Facilitate and support O&M market growth
Manage relationships and maintain communications with existing O&M customers to win additional contracts
Clear communication with commercial customers on technical and business issues
Understand O&M pricing tools and assumptions and contract terms
Provide quotes and contracts for O&M services for additional customers and sites
Serve as a Leader in StraightUp Solar Service Department
Actively participate in planning meetings for O&M services
Recommend and implement approved and assigned O&M staffing and workflow process improvements to increase efficiency or profitability
Provide mentorship, training, feedback and coaching and 360 reviews and annual evaluations of technicians performing O&M work
Provide and present statistical and financial scorecard and key performance indicator data to the service team or management on O&M services and trends

What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience coordinating and leading service technicians and interfacing with customers and negotiating or defending billing policies and invoicing. The ideal candidate will have exposure to the solar installation process and is comfortable or knowledgeable with respect to materials and product lines used. Verbal communications with team members and customers, and frequent database, CRM, and spreadsheet use and updates are a large percentage of daily responsibilities. A strong self-starter with a passion for multi-tasking, problem-solving, and strong sense/internal drive for daily accomplishment will thrive in this role.
