Works with the Recruiting Manager and Recruiting Team Members to understand and execute the hiring strategy. Screens and reviews applicants, and provides a shortlist of screened candidates to hiring managers. Manages relationships with applicable candidates by providing communications throughout the recruiting process.
Supports the success of a high-performing shared services organization by helping to champion and drive the long-term Sutter Shared Services vision. Helps foster an environment in which continuous improvement in business processes and services is welcomed and recognized. Participates in programs and in using tools in support of building a high performance culture via the standard Sutter Shared Services responsibilities (e.g. performance measurement, people development, customer relationship management, etc.).
Provides professional internal recruiting services on behalf of Sutter Health
Create, audit, monitor, and update, job posting templates to ensure accurate job postings
Audit and post approved job postings to initiate the internal hiring process
Determines if internal candidate search is sufficient; if yes, continues onto internal transfer process; if no, works with Recruitment Team Member to initiate external search
Invites potential internal applicants identified through sourcing channels to apply
Screens and/or interviews candidates as needed and reviews potential internal applicants
Screens internal applications to ensure they are eligible for transfer
Communicate decisions to applicable candidates through the recruiting process
Extends verbal contingent offer to candidate and negotiates the offer and the tentative start date with candidate
Closes requisition once position is filled; initiates hiring process
Moves candidates through the appropriate step and status via the applicant tracking system technology
Informs candidates on relocation and immigration services as applicable
Provides communications to unsuccessful candidates
Manages recruitment responsibility for Alternative Job Search process in partnership with Total Health and Productivity Management
Qualifications:
Education:
BA/BS Degree preferred or combination of education and experience. Advanced training or education in interviewing methodology and recruitment laws.
Experience:
Experience in a human resources position as typically acquired in 2 or more years is required
Experience in a recruiting function is preferred
Experience in working with multiple processes and serving multiple customers is required
Demonstrated success in developing innovative recruitment programs is required
Experience in a health care setting is preferred
Experience in a service delivery environment is preferred
Experience with a start-up organization is a plus
Knowledge:
Demonstrated knowledge of Recruitment and Fair Recruitment Practices
Knowledge of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Federal Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Fair Employment and Housing (FEH) laws, Rehabilitation Act, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), California Wage and Hour Laws, and immigration laws and policies
Must be familiar with national labor market trends and the execution of effective processes to support / operationalize recruitment strategies. Must have well established concept of the contemporary definition of human resources management
Knowledge of recruiting best practice processes, systems or tools that enable Recruitment team to support Sutter Health
Knowledge of shared services center / contact center operations and associated human resource issues and solutions
