Primary Responsibilities: Under the general direction of the Tachibana Enterprises Operations department, sell and market products of Tachibana Enterprises, create new products, marketing strategy and new market to achieve sales target.
Percent Time Spent Essential Functions
30%
Manage overall direction, budget and evaluation of sales department according to JTB corporate organization’s policies and applicable law.
25%
Research and monitor the latest activities in consumer markets and price point, market forecast of current and future trends in relation to sales.
25%
Establish new partnerships with business partners to develop, create and analyze products or tours to fit the current market trends with profit margin not below company goal.
20% Create excellent customer service standards and communication with our business partners and customers.
Secondary Functions: Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Bachelor’s degree;
2. Must possess at least five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in sales and marketing and, at least five (5) years managerial experience;
3. Required to effectively and professionally communicate (speak, read and write) with employees, business partners, and clients in English;
4. Possess strong interpersonal, negotiation, media and sales presentation skills;
5. Possess working knowledge of Hawaii’s tourism infrastructure, and understanding of different countries’ tour characteristics and needs.
6. Possess computer skills with intermediate-level working experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point), as well as web creating skills.
7. Possess current Hawaii driver’s license with clean abstract.
Working Conditions:
Working Hours –
Normal business hours: 8:00a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Sunday through Saturday, including holidays.
Working Environment
1. Air-conditioned office or, remote workplace.
2. Travel to various locations outside of the office/remote workplace where weather conditions may vary, including but not limited to noise, dust, fumes, and vehicle exhaust.
Physical and Mental Demands
1. Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copier, printer, multi-line telephone system, cellular phone, facsimile machine, other standard office equipment, email, and vehicle.
2. Constant – vision and hearing;
3. Frequent – sitting, eye-hand-foot coordination;
4. Occasional – pushing, pulling/lifting/carrying less than 25 pounds to 50 pounds, pulling more than 50 pounds, standing, walking;
5. Seldom – lifting/carrying more than 50 pounds, running, stair climbing, bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, climbing, side bending, overhead reach;
6. Not applicable – crawling, twisting.
Communication Demands
1. Constant – requires talking and written communication to customers and outside trade persons/vendors, reading and talking on the telephone;
2. Frequent – requires talking and written communication to co-workers, supervising others, responding to written or verbal requests of co-workers and vendors, training/giving verbal instructions, writing/composing written language, reading, visiting/working at different worksites;
3. Occasional – requires receiving verbal and written instructions.
