Job Summary: Responsible for meeting customer needs by:
Ø Planning, developing, and executing, recruitment activities and reports aimed at efficient and accurate hiring of qualified candidates (includes advertising/postings, interviewing, reference checking, coordinating interviews with management and giving input towards hiring decisions, conducting job offers, related paperwork, etc.)
Ø Creating and maintaining a welcoming environment for employees and upholding the highest level of moral and ethic decisions in everything that we do.
Ø Review and Update HR policies and procedures for the facility that ensures a safe and engaged workforce.
Ø Complete, review and conduct new hire orientation program for each new employee
Ø Create and maintain productive partnerships with supervisors and employees to build an engaged workforce.
Ø Create a business partnership and support the General Manager of the facility.
Ø Facilitate and assist in the promotion of on-going training and company programs for on-boarding, Lean development and problem solving.
Ø Coordination and communication of Compensation and incentive program plans with site General Manager.
Ø Create a partnership with local schools and universities for future recruitment and ensuring the availability of the best talent and candidates
Ø Build a partnership and lead local marketing campaigns within the local community. Engage in local events and activities.
Ø Planning goals of department and creating action plans to attain these goals
Ø Maintain local ORG Charts for current and future succession planning and training development
Ø Assisting VP of HR with projects as needed
Ø Building and maintaining department budget and ensuring the optimization of the funds used.
Ø Working with supervisors and ensuring time cards and the time system is accurate for payroll reporting
Ø Manages 1 HR generalist
Ø Update and report on key HR metrics to VP of HR.
Ø Others duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
1. Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent. Concentration/degree in Human Resources and/or PHR certification is a plus.
2. Previous HR Generalist experience of 3-5 years is preferred.
3. Good interpersonal skills to deal effectively with a wide variety of people promoting a positive company image.
4. Independent decision making skills and ability to work independently.
5. Highest level of morals, ethics, and honesty
6. Advanced computer skills (Knowledge of Word, Excel, & PowerPoint preferred).
7. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
8. Ability to continuously evaluate systems for most efficient usage, user friendliness, communication enhancement, and strive for continuous process improvements.
9. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
10. Ability to attend and participate in required company meetings.
