Under general supervision, performs general human resources work including recruiting, classification and compensation, employee benefits, labor relations, staff development and training, risk management, and personnel records; may assign, review, and coordinate the work of clerical support staff; and performs related work as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Ability to :
Interpret, explain, and apply a variety of laws, rules, regulations, and personnel policies and procedures. Work effectively with employees, management, Human Resources Manager, and the public. Revise and maintain various personnel recordkeeping systems. Compile and organize data into reports. Perform clerical work requiring independent judgment and accuracy. Use a computer and related software applications with accuracy. Provide customer service. Maintain a variety of accurate records and files. Prepare and review information and data. Maintain confidentiality and handle confidential matters discreetly. Effectively set priorities to meet deadlines. Independently multi-task work assignments. Interpret and apply applicable laws, codes, ordinances, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. Perform mathematical calculations. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with management, staff, and the public.
