Grupo Phoenix, now part of Tekni-Plex, provides both plastic and paper products to global brands in over 20 vertical markets, such as dairy, desserts, coffee, beverages, ice cream, soups, spreads, cosmetics and household cleaning.
SUMMARY:
The Director of Human Resources will be responsible for strategically planning HR initiatives and managing day to day HR operations for the 600 + Grupo Phoenix employees at Dublin, VA Chandler, AZ & Miami, FL. The HR Director will make recommendations and implement pro-active, data driven HR solutions that encourage a competitive advantage through people. This position will educate, motivate and influence the organization to help achieve business goals through effective management of human capital. Ultimately, the Director of HR will ensure that Grupo Phoenix has in place the most effective approaches to deliver the business strategy
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Identify and develop key talent for the Division; develop leadership skills of managers.Manage/coordinate workforce planning, recruitment, talent assessment/development/ deployment, and succession planning. Assist with leadership development programs. Ensure development of all high potential employees. Mentor and develop Human Resources team.
· Develop and implement organizational and employee productivity improvement strategies. Design organizations and roles that provide organizational alignment and efficiency and provide employees with challenging and developmental assignments. Use metrics to recommend productivity enhancements. Counsel Division management on change management, motivation, compensation and rewards, team dynamics, onboarding/training and learning tools, organization development and organization design changes as needed to meet business objectives.
· Manage, improve and reward employee performance. Counsel Division management and reinforce various organizational initiatives through performance management, training and development, differentiation, and use of rewards and available company resources and programs. Build a work culture that promotes high performance, continuous improvement, open communications, inclusiveness and demonstrates the core values of the company.
· Support continuous improvements in worker safety
· Serve as a change agent. Anticipate changes in business conditions that challenge the norm and, as needed, lead the Division through transformation.
· Additional responsibilities include: salary administration, collaborating on development and updating of HR policies, employee relations, workers compensation and leave of absence implementation.
· All other duties may be assigned
Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements:
· 10-12 years in progressively more responsible HR roles, with a significant portion of that in a manufacturing environment.
· BS in HR, Labor Relations, Business or related field (or equivalent education/experience). MS in HR or MBA highly desirable.
· Ability to travel up to 20% is required.
· Bilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not required
· Solid experience with various talent management concepts and practices required.
· Strong business acumen;
· Ability to think strategically and connect HR plans with business needs.
· Excellent problem-solving skills; coaching and facilitation skills;
· Ability to influence members of the leadership team;
· Ability to understand and use an HRIS system – technologically savvy

Pay: $105,032.00 – $120,319.00 per year
