Terrestris Global Solutions is seeking a full time Administrative Assistant to support the Naval Housing Learning Center at Naval Air Stations Jacksonville Florida. The Housing Learning Center (HLC) provides innovative and technical training to Navy Housing and other DoD personnel composed of Civilian, Military, Foreign National and Contractor personnel working in support of the Family and Unaccompanied Housing functions. The Administrative assistant will support the Naval Housing support leadership team and training team in various administrative tasks. This role is located onsite at NAS JAX and is not a remote role.
What your daily tasks look like:
· The candidate may be required to develop flexible work schedules to meet command’s changing requirements.
· The candidate shall be required to open and, or close facilities.
· The candidate shall design content for learning activities to include any combination or blend of delivery methods, by using visual and emotional appeal that engages and motivates the learners.
· The candidate shall apply aesthetical attention with design elements that improve the training experience.
· The candidate shall create vignettes that support cognition, sensory experience, analysis, and intuition toward understanding the content being delivered.
· The candidate shall evaluate training delivery and content. Suggest changes and enhancements about the curriculum to the Training Coordinator or Business Manager that support Human Performance Technology and existing training programs.
· The candidate shall assist the Training Coordinator to design, review and produce supplemental curriculum materials to support transfer of learning. (Blog, Job Aids, Memory Joggers).
· The candidate shall organize, archive, and make available HLC courseware inventory (physical and digital files) to Virtual Facilitators and Producers, Instructional Systems Designers, and those in Housing who develop, update and review course content.
· The candidate shall coach HLC collaborators on Gateway 2.0 (G2) access, best practices, and operating procedures.
· The candidate shall validate content and compatibility of courseware files with computer hardware and software to support the training events and consistent evolution of the Housing training curriculum.
· The candidate shall track DoD, Navy, and Housing directives, policies, memos and Desk Guides that might affect the organization’s training curriculum and initiate necessary changes.
· The candidate shall use FTP for file transfer; synchronize SharePoint sites with local Government Computer (GC).
· The candidate shall convert file types, burn data, audio and video CD/DVD’s.
· The candidate shall backup files from external to hard drive, synchronize computer peripherals with GC and edit digital photos.
· The candidate shall maintain privacy act information in accordance with DoD/DoN Policy.
· The candidate shall coordinate, facilitate, and produce asynchronous and synchronous virtual training.
Requirements:
· Shall have Five (5) years of experience in administrative procedures and data bases.
· Shall have broad knowledge of SECNAVINST, and DoD policy and Housing procedures.
· Familiar with organization structure and operation methods of Navy and other Department of Defense components.
· Knowledge of guiding instructions and directives of Navy Housing, their organizational structures and work methods.
· Possess tact, sound judgment, initiative and be fully competent and professional at all times.
· Shall have strong organizational, prioritization and customer service skills and possess excellent written and oral communications skills.
· Shall be proficient with the use of Microsoft Office suite and incorporated programs to include Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Publisher.
· Shall be proficient with Adobe products including Adobe Pro, Photoshop Elements, and Adobe Connect.
