The Center for Pursuit Hiring for Human Resource Generalist Job at Houston, TX Full Time

• Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and certifications.
• Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
• Thoroughly investigate HR and employee relations issues and produce investigative documentation.
• Assist management with performance concerns, disciplinary action, and conflict management issues.
• Conducts exit interviews, summarizes findings, and discusses trends
• Assist with leave management, including FMLA and WC
• Researches and explains laws and legal affairs concerning employment to managers, supervisors, and employees.
• Plans and executes agency special projects and events
• Provides exceptional internal and external customer service by providing timely, accurate information in response to HR-related inquiries and/or requests.
• Develops and executes further training as needed.
• Participates in new hire orientation as the department representative. Updates as needed.
• Creates and manages internal and external relationships at all levels within an organization while possessing the diplomacy and cooperative style necessary to work effectively with diverse individuals across functional disciplines.
• Uses surveys, interviews, and other studies to conduct research regarding human resource policies, compensation, and other employment issues. After analyzing the information, makes recommendations on changes.
• Assists with COVID-19 administration and investigations
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Thorough understanding of state and federal laws concerning HR compliance.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks with multiple priorities in a high-volume, high-energy environment.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to create and maintain solid working relationships within the department and across the organization.
• Thorough understanding of dispute resolution and compensation administration.
• Excellent attention to detail and an ability to produce high-quality, accurate work within designated deadlines.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction to complete assigned work and individual goals.
• Willingness to work as a team member to accomplish established department goals.
• Maintains an attitude and philosophy consistent with agency standards.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in human resource management or a related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of HR experience is required.
• SHRM/PHR certification preferred or willing to obtain within 6 months of employment.
• Experience with Paycor is a plus

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
