Job Description:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist works with Hiring Managers to source new applicants, and process candidates in hiring process including phone screens, background checks and manager hiring process.
Responsibilities:
Build strong relationships with hiring managers and gain a clear understanding of their staffing goals, in order to develop position profile and to understand overall needs and requirements.
Manages the talent acquisition process, which includes recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Proactively source, identify, pre-screen and qualify passive and active candidates prior to face to face interviews
Post and maintain positions on various job boards
Enter documentation of candidate records via Applicant Tracking System (UKG) to maintain accurate recruiting information
Make candidate selection recommendation, create competitive employment offers, effectively present offers, manage expectations, overcome objections, and close candidates
Utilize the Applicant Tracking System, employee referrals, social media, and networking to identify potential candidates
Administer employee referral program and help drive awareness with employees to increase referrals
Create & maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future opportunities
Ensure accurate reporting per compliance requirements as directed by state agencies
Train and educate hiring managers on the recruiting process and their role in the process
Summarize during weekly check in and monthly reporting, the status of all open, closed, and filled searches
Guide candidates through the hiring process ensuring background screening, applications, new hire paperwork and I-9s are completed accurately and timely
Coordinate with Training & Development Manager on execution of new hire orientation on a monthly basis
Coordinate with HR Assistant on company-wide onboarding program ensuring managers understand the process and deliverables.
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma required.
College Degree, a plus.
2 + years preferred experience in Human Resources with emphasis on recruitment, on-boarding employee relations, retention, and engagement.
Previous hospitality/private club sourcing experience, a plus.
Strong knowledge of MS Office and Applicant Tracking Systems. Knowledge of iCIMS, preferred
A demonstrated ability to act independently, organize workload, set priorities, work well under pressure, adapt to change, and handle confidential information
Exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness
Outstanding interpersonal, conflict resolution, teaming and communication skills
Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task and adjust priorities accordingly
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
Must be flexible in order to meet changing deadlines or priorities
Up to 5% travel
Physical Requirements:
Sits at computer 70% of the time
Stands and walks for 30% of the time
