Location: Mentor, OH.
Job Summary: The Human Resource Coordinator facilitates the human resource processes (full employee life cycle). This role helps to administer employee health and welfare plans (in accordance with federal and state regulations) and acts as liaison between employees and insurance providers, resolving benefits-related problems for positive employee relations. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry. Duties:
Helps to administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions.
Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
Assists with recruitment and interview process.
Tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
Schedules meetings and interviews for hiring managers.
Oversees and coordinate new employee onboarding.
Completes, verifies documentation, and maintains I-9 files.
Initiates new-employee background checks and pre-employment drug screens.
Assists with the preparation of performance review process.
Assists with processing of terminations.
Makes photocopies; mails, scans, and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions (i.,e., filing; drafting correspondence; processing mail).
Supports managers through employee relations issues.
Collaborates with leadership to continually improve employee engagement.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent, required.
Associates degree in office administration or related field, preferred (or two years HR experience in a manufacturing environment).
At least three years of administrative and clerical experience, required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; Excellent organization skills and attention to detail; Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines; Ability to prioritize tasks; Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures; Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment; Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software; Basic understanding of how to operate standard business equipment.
