The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has an opening for a Senior Divisional Human Resources Generalist located in Charlotte, NC.
Job Summary
Assist the Divisional Human Resource Director in the administration, coordination and staff training for the human resource function across the division, assists in implementation of policy and procedure at Divisional Headquarters; interprets and explains policies and procedures; conducts investigations and provides guidance to the field with proper handling of grievances, disciplinary issues and employee conflicts; recommends changes to policy to the Director. Ensures that daily administration of human resources programs remain in compliance with established policies. Leads special and seasonal human resources projects including annual performance management and seasonal staffing projects.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Management, Human Resources or related field,
And
Five years progressively responsible experience within the Human Resource field with conducting employee investigations and/or management.
Or
any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Ability to lift 30 lbs. on a limited basis (5% of the time); ability to perform record filing requirements which would include bending/stooping/raising arms over head.
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to operate and answer a telephone.
Work is usually performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like, but may be performed periodically in disaster service areas and camp settings.
