We are Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who provide professional, compassionate, individualized in-home care services for developmentally disabled adults and children throughout Oregon. We are a state-certified organization. This position would be at our administrative office which is located in Star, Idaho.

SUMMARY

The Human Resources Specialist (HRS) recruits, screens, and interviews job applicants and places newly hired workers in Jobs. May also handle and maintain compensation and benefits, training, policies, employee relations, and regulatory compliance with the company and the State of Oregon.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designs and oversees training records management system
• Monitors training to ensure is completed in a timely manner
• Assist employees on training/career development issues; provides facilitation and mediation
• Post and maintain job listing(s)
• Contact applicant to schedule interviews
• Coordinate and facilitate applicant interviews, interviews, reference checking, and hiring processes
• Coordinate and conduct background checks
• Onboards employees
• Educate and counsel employees on HR systems policies and procedures
• Monitor and maintain employee information by compiling, verifying, updating, and entering data in System
• Maintain record-keeping
• Follow the policies and procedures and explain them to the employees

• Assist the staff team in planning employee events such as service awards, employee appreciation events, etc.
• Maintain and update job classifications and identify essential job functions
• Review performance evaluations
• Conduct exit interviews and compile information for statistical and performance measurement analysis
• Advice and counsel employees on employee relations issues and problem-solving process, as requested

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Adhere to, and stay up to date on all Thrive Services policies and procedures and any other duties as assigned
• Maintain company assigned email account (for the future)
• Report to work timely and follow the specified schedule as directed
• Conduct all professional activity in an ethical manner

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

• Must be 18 years or older
• Bachelors’ degree in HR or related field, or 3 years of experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Full Coverage Auto Insurance
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a fingerprint clearance card
