What you will be doing

As the Operations Supervisor – Warehouse Management, you will be leading the improvement projects to ensure warehouse operating efficiency and effectiveness. Coordinating warehouse activities under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager to ensure an efficient shipping and receiving plan.

• Responsible for the daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper staffing
• Directs the day-to-day activities of the warehouse including receiving materials, order fulfillment, shipping products, facility maintenance, etc.
• Responsible for the warehouse inventory management including shrinkage, discrepancy, and shipping errors
• Responsible for the progressive disciplinary process around counseling, oral and written warnings; ensures a productive labor climate in the warehouse operation
• Responsible for the layout of the warehouse with continuous improvement in mind
• Lead/assist with WMS implementation and continuous improvement projects
• Improve the efficiencies and productivities in labor, machinery and devices, and storage in the warehouse

Requirements

• 3 years supervision experience in the warehouse environment

• Experience with Netsuite, warehouse Managements Systems and RF scanner

• Ability to operate various types of machinery to include, but not limited to, forklifts, bagger, and stretch wrapper

• Ability to set priorities and work independently within set guidelines

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to determine the root cause of the problem

• Knowledge of receiving, shipping, and warehouse practices

• Sufficient computer and Excel skills

• Possess the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment

• Must be able to occasionally lift and carry weights of up to 50 pounds
