We currently have an opening for a Human Resource Assistant position available at our office in Cheney. This position is responsible for a variety of human resources activities and programs, including those related to staffing, compensation, benefits, training, and workplace safety.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, and temporary employees.
- Works with hiring manager to develop ideal candidate criteria for recruiting, posts on most applicable job boards, attracts qualified candidates and screens all resumes before forwarding on to manager for review.
- Carries out hiring processes such as the offer, verification of candidate references, background checks and drug screenings.
- Assists with creating, reviewing, and updating job descriptions as needed.
- Establishes and maintains personnel records and reports for in house/shop employees
- Assists with implementations within the HR department to ensure smooth and successful setup.
- Completes verification of employments, unemployment paperwork and Medical Child Support Orders.
- Assists with planning and facilitating employee events.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency using MS Office applications, as well as the ability to quickly learn new systems/software programs.
