Travis Industries Hiring for HR Onboarding Specialist at San Antonio, TX Full Time

Travis Industries is seeking service-driven individual to administer our onboarding and HR record keeping functions from our branch office located in SE San Antonio. This position will be responsible for working with field management and recruiters to ensure timely and thorough onboarding of new hires. This is a high volume, fast paced environment, therefore, candidates should be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and exhibit a high level of organization.

DUTIES include, but are not limited to –

• Support new hires as they complete employment application and onboarding through HRIS
• Provide support by troubleshooting and resolving onboarding issues.
• Ensure onboarding paperwork is completed accurately and timely.
• Supervise newly hired employees through training and onboarding requirements with safety counsels and other clinic/training processes.
• Attend weekly meetings representing HR at this local branch.
• Regularly complete andupdate status reports for internal staff.
• Manage employment databases through the lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, evaluation, status changes and termination of new and existing employees.
• Assist recruiters in maintaining staffing levels to meet company needs
• Work with corporate HR to maintain a positive work environment, address employee relations, and counsel employees on company policies and procedures.
• Support Health and Safety department with compliance of safety programs, employee training, and testing
• Support Payroll Specialist by utilizing various systems and databases to administer employee changes, time, benefits, etc.
• Work closely and proactively with the Corporate Office HR team to review onboarding experiences and implement solutions for improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS include, but are not limited to –

• 2 years minimum HR experience, preferably in the contracting or manufacturing fields
• General knowledge of regulatory requirements, including those of Dept. of Labor, OSHA, and other state and local governing bodies
• Experience using HRIS software
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Proficient in verbal and written communication
• Bilingual candidates are required (English/Spanish)

This is a full-time position working Monday – Friday during regular business hours. Offer contingent on a pre-employment drug screen. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
