Seeking motivated HR professional looking to advance in position and who has a heart for helping others at an established local nonprofit. Individual must be able to multi-task and use multiple online systems for payroll and personnel file management, as well as have excellent communication skills.
Essential functions:
· Manage day-to-day HR responsibilities including ADP Work Force Now payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations.
· Create and maintain online personnel files.
· Participate in the onboarding of new staff members, including leading New Hire Orientation.
· Manage all compliance documentation using EHR (OnTarget).
· Develop and carry out training activities as assigned.
· Assist with corrective action, disciplinary action and terminations.
· Analyze and report on HR metrics.
· Chair Training Work Group (after 90 day evaluation)
· Participate in Recruitment Work Group and Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Work Group
· Provide guidance to Leadership Team regarding HR policies and best practices for performance management, employee relations, and retention strategies.
Other duties:
· Act as a role model, take initiative to address issues, and positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interest of the organization.
· Collaborate with other departments and staff members.
· Act as an Ambassador for Triangle Disability & Autism Services, promoting its programs to community members and professional contacts.
· Provide positive, solution-focused participation in meetings, committees and work groups.
· Other duties as assigned
Competencies:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills including training, meeting facilitation, and presentation skills.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
· Ability to use all Microsoft Office Apps proficiently.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree required
· Minimum three years Human Resources experience
Supervisory responsibilities:
Responsible for hiring, supervision, and performance management of HR staff- currently Recruitment Specialist and Scheduling Specialist. Supervise Med Admin Instructor.
Work environment:
· Work is performed in an office environment and occasionally may be performed remotely.
· May attend off-site meetings and community events.
· Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
