About Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation
Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation is a growing nonprofit that protects and enhances the livability of our communities through public engagement, education, and the sustainability of parks, open spaces, and trails. Our programs aim to improve community health and wellness and foster appreciation for the natural and cultural history found in local parks. We are dedicated to increasing access to free programming for low-income community members, with a focus on improving education and health outcomes for people living in poverty.
Responsibilities
As our Communications Coordinator VISTA, you will play a crucial role in developing a marketing and outreach plan for our Healthy Parks Healthy People programs. This includes promoting events such as Discover Your Parks Walks, Trails Challenge, and Dementia Friendly Nature Walks. You will expand and maintain our social media profiles, website, blog posts, newsletters, and digital media projects. Additionally, you will assist in developing marketing and communication strategies for our Doggie Ambassador Program, support fundraising efforts, and enhance community support through strategic media campaigns. Other responsibilities include expanding our program visibility through traditional media coverage, managing advertising campaigns, and analyzing engagement through analytics.
