Our Human Resources team is growing and currently seeking a HR Generalist. In this position, you’ll perform HR related duties at the professional level and effectively manage all leaves of absence and accommodation requests for Health Benefits. As part of a collaborative, high-performing team of Generalists and Business Partners, you’ll play a critical role in the overall success of the business.
In this position you will have the ability to work from home.
Responsibilities Include:
Work with people leaders and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase innovation and employee retention
Effectively manage all leaves of absence and accommodation requests
Partner with management to provide HR guidance
Develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results
Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation
Assist with the onboarding of new employees
Effectively handle employee relations issues in collaboration with the Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP)
Work with the HRBP on Employee Terminations
Completion of Unemployment Insurance claims and participation in Unemployment hearings as necessary
Assist employees with filing Workers’ Compensation claims if necessary
Coordinate and lead general employee training programs
Serve as a member of local Employee Engagement Committee and Wellness Team
Other responsibilities as designated by the HRBP
Qualifications include:
Bachelor’s Degree and/or 2 – 4 years of related experience OR High School Diploma or GED with 4-6 years of related experience.
PHR/SPHR is preferred
Ability to coach, mentor, support and give direction to others
Excellent customer service skills
Solid interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal with all levels of employees.
Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint
Detail oriented, ability to multitask, time manage and organize with little supervision
Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems/issues by using sound judgment that is consistent with company policies
Ability to function in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
