The Team
The Recruiting team at Upstart enables the company’s continued success by hiring incredible talent. We develop recruiting strategies that drive Upstart’s growth in the most inclusive and efficient ways.
As the Recruiting Sourcing Manager at Upstart, you will drive the strategy for the sourcing and attraction for the Engineering and Machine Learning organizations. You will report directly into the Director of Technical Recruiting and partner with your recruiting peers as well as business partners to execute against your strategies.
Position Location – This role is available in the following locations: Remote #LI-REMOTE
Time Zone Requirements – This team operates on the East/West Coast time zones.
Travel Requirements – This team has regular on-site collaboration sessions. These occur once per Quarter at the San Mateo office. If you need to travel to make these meetups, Upstart will cover all travel related expenses.
How you’ll make an impact:
Lead and develop a team of Talent Sourcers focused on building passive Engineering and Machine Learning pipelines.
Build talent pipeline strategy, roadmap, and execution plan that ties to Technical Recruiting org roadmap and business objectives.
Partner with and build strong relationships with the Engineering and Machine Learning leadership teams to forecast hiring needs, and consult on recruiting strategies to mitigate or avoid any potential bottlenecks.
Lead, mentor, and inspire recruiting team members to do their best work (and meet or exceed recruiting targets.)
Set OKRs/quarterly goals, analyze the results, and iterate as needed.
Partner with the recruiting team and hiring managers to drive diversity, equity, and inclusion at every stage of the hiring process.
Drive accountability for an efficient, dynamic full-cycle recruiting process.
What we’re looking for:
Minimum requirements:
8+ years of experience in talent acquisition.
2+ years of experience leading a technical sourcing or recruiting team focused on results that thrive in a rapidly changing, and competitive environment; experience managing managers.
Strong bias for action and ability to lead both tactically and strategically.
Preferred qualifications:
Superior influence skills; can communicate effectively and confidently with all levels of the organization, both written and verbal.
Results oriented, measurement bias using reporting to translate actions into measurable outcomes.
Experience building process, org structure and high performance teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Passion for working and learning in a fast growing company.

The minimum base pay for this position in Colorado is $112,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is provided in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay Act. It is specific to Colorado and may not be applicable to other locations.
