College & Career Center Training and Development Lead – (Youth and Young Adults)

The Urban League of Greater Atlanta (ULGA) is seeking highly qualified applicants for their College and Career Center (CCC) Leader position.

The ULGA College and Career Center Leaders’ role and responsibilities aligns with our Urban Center for Career, Talent and Workforce Solutions model which includes the DOL career pathways framework. The CCC Leader role must be highly focused and collaborative, working with internal cross-functional ULGA teams and external industry and community partners. The CCC Leader will lead a team responsible for delivering an array of intentional college and career learning and development opportunities to direct career pathing for opportunity youth. The CCC Leaders primary responsibilities include leading and participating in the delivery of their teams recruitment and enrollment, youth training and development curriculum, and employment placement strategies.

Duties and accountabilities include, but may not be limited to the following:

• Participate in the development of a workforce strategy and solutions for the College and Career Center (youth and young adult programming) to include recruitment and enrollment, program retention, training and development, industry recognized credentials and employment placement or post-secondary education
• Participate in the CCC program design, planning and execution
• Alignment with DOL career pathway systems model
• Deliver basic education, interest, and career assessments
• Design career development program that imbeds career exploration, planning and execution which leads to industry recognized credentials
• Data and records management and reporting
• Leadership and develop of others
• Development of curriculum enhancements to improve existing programs and create new ones
• Career/Job placement strategies
• Must meet all programmatic benchmarks.
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Must highly be knowledgeable of current local labor market information in regard to employers and industries within the region which align with high demand fields.
• Will serve as an industry lead for high-skill, high-growth occupations, and detailed information about entry into these industries, occupation, apprenticeships, and actual career opportunities
• Remains knowledgeable of and able to use information about transferable skills from one industry or occupation to another to advise students/alumni.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s required (Masters’ degree preferred) in Higher Education, Adult Education, Teacher Education, Educational Leadership/Administration, Career Technical Education, or related field with an emphasis on youth and young adult teaching and learning, curriculum and instruction or career development. Minmum of three (3) years of demonstrated work-related experience in a leadership role in a post-secondary institution, workforce board, career service center, strategic youth development program or youth career training program.
