Gensco currently has an amazing opportunity for an HR Generalist to join the Human Resources Team at our Corporate Office in Tacoma, WA! The HR Generalist at Gensco will perform a wide variety of HR related functions – including, but not limited to:

• Team Member relations
• Supporting Managers/Supervisors with administration and implementation of company policies and programs
• Leave of absence management and administration
• Supporting Team Member training and development
• Job Description management and administration
• Tuition reimbursement administration

The ideal candidate will have:

• 4-year degree with PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification preferred
• 3+ years of work experience in the HR field highly preferred
• Functional knowledge of HR laws, regulations, principles, and practices required
• Functional knowledge of payroll, employee benefits administration, options, rules, and regulations
• Customer service-oriented approach; respond to requests with a sense of urgency
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to recognize issues and resolve or escalate appropriately
• Strong people skills, recognize when to use formal or informal approach, not easily intimidated, accessible, ability to say “no” in a firm but polite manner
• High degree of honesty, ethics, and integrity with prior work experience handling confidential information
• Willing to “think outside of the box” and identify process improvement opportunities
• Ability to objectively coach Team Members and Managers/Supervisors through challenging, difficult and emotional issues
• Ability to research and analyze various types of data and interpret results
• Ability to make recommendations that effectively resolves issues by using consistent and practical judgment
• Able to work sitting or standing and to move freely throughout the facility
• Able to lift and carry equipment and supplies throughout the facility
• Demonstrated ability to manage details and meet deadlines with 100% accuracy in a multi-task environment
• Strong presentation skills and prior experience conducting classroom style training
• Strong computer skills (MS Office) required
