Research applicable laws, regulations, best practices and other information and materials to gain knowledge and achieve project objectives.
Assists with the design of audit and evaluation methodologies and plans for achieving the project objectives, analyzing data, and solving problems.
With guidance, conducts fieldwork, data collection and analyses (quantitative and qualitative) to identify findings and conclusions; collects and compiles evidence from interviews, inquiries, and documents result; participates in the review and development of findings and recommendations to AOC.
Prepares detailed work papers to document observed results, findings, conclusions, deficiencies, and recommendations for corrective action to AOC management.
Contributes and authors segments of OIG written products in a clear, concise, timely and objective manner.
With guidance, assists the team with briefing and presenting project information in a clear, concise, timely and objective manner; communicates milestones and deadlines based on supervisor’s instructions; keeps the supervisor informed of significant developments.
With guidance, supports and assists higher graded staff in reviewing statements of work and/or related contractual documents to identify the requirements; and managing and overseeing the work of OIG contractors.
Assist with external reviews of other OIG organizations to assess compliance with recognized audit standards.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
